Why to recharge your booster as often as possible?
1. Lead sulphation
In our AGM batteries with pure lead, during the discharge (a jump start or prolonged storing), the sulphuric acid diluted in the electrolyte is attracted by the lead plates. The recharge of the battery reverses this process, the acid « returns » to the water.
On a vehicle, after the starting, the battery is immediately recharged by the alternator and the acid goes naturally back to the electrolyte, as long as the alternator is well functioning. Unlike mobile phones’ batteries, our batteries do not have any memory effect.
In the case of a Booster and if you don’t recharge it quickly, the acid remains on the plates and the sulphation and the corrosion of the lead begins.
The deeper the discharge and longer you wait, the more important are sulphation and corrosion of the plates you get. At a certain stage, the sulphation and power loss are irreversible. This is why we advise you to put the booster in charge as often as possible. The Booster can permanently be left on charge with the original automatic charger.
A well charged booster is leading to an improved booster’s battery lifetime.
2. 100% efficiency
A well charged booster leads to 100% chances to jump start the vehicles.
3. Order = Productivity
Putting the Booster back in at its place, is leading leads to an increase in productivity and to the pleasure of to always finding its tools where it should be.
